Saucer Demo II

(Ivanzx - update tomorrow, I'll be working late).

Jof.

EDIT - cheers Alfonso! I posted too soon to reply! I'm going to search for your stuff on the web - though I KNOW I've seen your stuff before!
Hi Joffa, this is one of the best scrolls i ever seen. It reminds me hyperactive (certanly a great game), but this scroll is un all directions and is very soft.
Incredible!
I love that people like Borrocop and you still give us entertaintment.

See you! ;)

I'm very excited about being able to talk to a person who made me spend so many good times with my Spectrum: Cobra (wonderful one), Hysteria, Green Beret, Hypersports, Mikie, etc... Those are some of the best games developed for our machine.

Actually, to me, and to everyone, is a privilege to read your posts in this forum, and to see the progress of your currently developed games. (It's a pleasure!)

In short, you are one of the biggest developers, and thankfully you don't repudiate your glorious past. Thank you Jon!

Cheers,

Dammit! I'm outta this forum for just one weekend and see who came! One of my all-time idols! It seems that I'm gonna have to stay away from the forums more weekends, so more celebs come to visit us! :D

Cheers, Mr Joffa, the game is looking awesome and I can't but expect (again) one of the best games from the best. The new demo looks awesome. Don't worry, we have a very comprehensive army of hardcore gamers which will beta-test this (me included), so expect good feedback.

I hope you keep visiting us. It would be great to share space with such a knowledgeable (impressively knowledgeable!) person.

Thank you Alfonso for the links to your games!

I've had a quick look at them. Impressive. They are hard! I'll play with them when I can get some spare time - why are all the Spanish games SO HARD! LOL! You lot must be really good at playing games!

Oh, and thank you ALL for the kind comments!

Jof, I have tried the beta, and its scroll is incredible. Very smooth, and the controls feel very responsive :)

I've got two questions ;)

First: Do you generate the map procedurally? Because it is huge!
Second: I managed to fill the rightmost bar by getting diamonds... So... What should I do after that? There are diamonds everywhere, so I can keep getting them forever

to Jonathan : Yes, we are used to really Hard games! try Abu Simbel Profanation, by Dinamic, there is some people who finish it without pokes...that's why some foreign games are easy to us, cos we are used to extreme difficulty. But some spanish games are too much, they lose a lot of interest because of the difficulty.

Cheers :)

Hi AugustoRuiz!

The map doesn't exist! And 'it' doesn't really 'scroll'. Everything exists as numbers. There isn't a physical 'map'. Wait till I add the background details - still no 'map'!

The diamonds are just silly things to collect. You need them to expand your weapons! They will always be there - but you will be attacked and be unable to defend yourself (almost) whilst doing so.

I think I'll add a 'shop' so you can exchange the diamonds for extra fire-power!

Please don't think this is anywhere near complete - the 'bubbles' are just to test the collisions! There will be plenty of baddies to fight!

Thank you for your comments!

Ok... So there is no map, but there are numbers... I suppose those numbers store the heights of the floor? So... If you have them stored somewhere... I would say that is a map, as those numbers describe what you see ;)

When I say 'scroll' I mean how the background slides... It's very nice, and very smooth! (Incredibly smooth for a ZX!)
Frobush escribió:I think I'll add a 'shop' so you can exchange the diamonds for extra fire-power!
That's a very good idea!
Frobush escribió:Please don't think this is anywhere near complete - the 'bubbles' are just to test the collisions! There will be plenty of baddies to fight!
I thought so... But I didn't kown if I was missing something... That's why I asked ;)
Frobush escribió:Thank you for your comments!
You're welcome. Keep up the good work!

And now... A crazy idea: Wouldn't it be nice if you can get into some sort of vehicle that improves your guns when you fly? I mean, you can get the earth vehicle to dig the diamonds out, but it would be nice that you can find somewhere a plane (or something like that) that gives you better waepons to fight against flying baddies... Or if you take that to the extreme... When you are a saucer you cannot shoot at all, so you must find the plane or the land vehicle to be able to shoot...

¿Y se sabe de qué va ese juego?.
