On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

Livingstone (or Stanley, rather) is one of the key characters of the Golden Age of Spanish Soft. His first appearance in the world of computers took place in 1986 by Opera Soft, on the four main 8-bit systems, MSX 2, PC and Atari ST, with the game Livingstone I guess. His success was immediate, obtaining great critics in the rest of Europe (where it arrived from the hand of Alligata), and France (Microïds).

Three years later, the prestige of the game had not faded, and Opera Soft decided that it would be a good idea to launch a sequel, Livingstone Supongo II, which was released for the systems of the moment (the usual four 8-bit and PCW, Atari, Amiga and PC). The graphics were much more advanced, scrolling was added and the use of various tools to meet the objectives was preserved, which was the hallmark of the game. However, it did not sink as deep as the first, but that was complicated.

And we come to 2007, 18 years after the second installment. The year before, Exelweiss had already tried their luck salvaging the license to another Opera hit, publishing Goody Returns. The thing shouldn't have gone bad at all, given what I've seen.

Lost Again, the third installment, departs from the path of its predecessors to embrace the world of platform arcades, in a radical turn probably intended for the casual mobile gamer of those times, and unlike the aforementioned second part of [ [94/?sec=mobile&l=en">Goody, who had opted for the isometric adventure.

The result was a beautiful and simple game, pleasant to play, but that lost the essence that had characterized the saga. A shame for the nostalgic, but probably not so much for people who had just joined the world of video games. But then, did it make sense to use the license instead of starting a new saga?
