La aventura se desarrolla en el Monasterio de San Martiño de Xuvia, en el Camino de Santiago ingles. En este tramo del camino ha habido una serie de robos a los peregrinos.
El Conde ha enviado a un Caballero con sus soldados para poner orden.
El Obispo temiendo una situación violenta envía a el investigador de la iglesia Guillermo para aclarar los robos y evitar así que los soldados destruyan la comarca en sus pesquisas.
