On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

Our brave knight strikes again three years later. Independent of the first part and with an own life, both in its concept and in its development, as happened with the game in which it is inspired, a true classic known not as the second part of Knightmare, but as "The Maze of Galious". As we said, in this case more than an adaptation for the ZX Spectrum, we must talk about an inspiration, because as McNeil commented, they wanted to break with the Konami original to see more action and to have continuity with the first part.

In the first part you knew where the enemies were coming from and it was easy to be prepared to respond to their attack, but here you have to have a thousand eyes, the rhythm being just as wild and frenetic and with many more movements than the simple vertical advance, shooting from right to left, from the first proposal of the saga. One thing is clear, this one is a bit more difficult and less intuitive than its predecessor. And this is neither good nor bad by itself, it's just another equally fascinating proposal from Climacus and McNeil.

You should know that this second part is for a Spectrum 48 kb, something that you will notice right away, since you will only enjoy the music on the home screen; and also due to a slight loss of quality, both in terms of graphics and sound compared to the original, but it doesn't matter, because although the limitations of the Sinclair machines come to the fore on the power used to the maximum as never before in the MSX, the result is still splendid. And here also as in the first part, the keys are fully configurable, something that is always very appreciated.

Finally, comment that has not been made, by these developers or any other, the adaptation for the ZX Spectrum of the third part of this legendary trilogy, called “Shalom” and published for MSX; It was a very flirty graphic adventure, but perhaps unnecessary and somewhat disappointing, looking to the great level of the two previous parts; so, almost better to leave it there...
