On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

The phenomenon known as homebrew has been unstoppable for years in the 8-bit universe and, incredible as it may seem, is more booming than ever, thanks largely to the numerous tools that have enabled and facilitated its programming and translation to computers and other current mobile devices.

Perhaps it is more common for the immortal Spectrum, so it is appreciated that there are developers like the prolific and great Jose Luis Salguero, who dedicate their time and effort (with the occasional help of other collaborators) to keep the MSX standard alive with proposals as wonderful as this.

Gelatino is a platform game in which you'll have to go from screen to screen, avoiding the numerous enemies that will try to prevent you from freeing the inhabitants of Burbujonia, who are kidnapped and held in the city's sewers.

It's a lot of fun, easy to play, colorful, and it's also in Spanish, which isn't very common. As if that were not enough, the presentation is a spectacular case with a cartridge and a color booklet with instructions, but it is so intuitive that you will hardly need to resort to them in its 30 colorful levels.

If I had to look for a negative point, I would say that the music is too fast, penalizing the game experience unnecessarily, but it is a personal appreciation. For the rest, I assure you that it is well worth spending the money, since the care that is appreciated in its development, and in its subsequent manufacturing quality, is certainly very difficult to match and find today, even internationally. And I'm not the only one who thinks so, since due to the great success achieved, just one year later a more than interesting second part would see the light of day. But that's another story…
