On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

This game developent started in 2000 by Phobeous and na_th_an, who developed the main engine, the level editor, and started designing "Ekynox" and "The Bassard Cave". Afterwards, from 2001 to 2003, P.Weinx joined the team, helping Phobeous with the music, and Ethan started the "After the War" level design, while na_th_an and Phobeous were improving the engine and moving forward in stage creation. The game development stopped until 2005, when Phobeus added support for compressed levels, and all code was ported to MinGW32 under Windows. All eight main levels were completed.

na_th_an took up the project again at the beginning of 2007, reworking almost all the game graphics (backgrounds, tiles and sprites) and retouching all levels to adjust the difficulty. The game engine was extended to achieve lights and shadow effects.

In June, 2008, the game ending was programmed, and polishing was applied.
