After having a great success with the two first titles of the 'Commandos' saga, Gonzo Suarez left Pyro Studios and founded Arvirago Technologies with the support of Jose Lopez-Gallego, putting all their efforts in the dwevelop of 'The Lord of the Creatures', the most ambitious project of his career.
Gonzo said it was a totally different game, never seen before, and websites and magazines talked in the same way.
You could choose between five different types of heroes (with their male and female versions) in a magic world dominated by Lords, where the objective would be to become a the most powerful Lord, using spells and creatures whose could be stolen to other Lords.
After lots of problems, and when all was pointing to an agreement with Atari for distribution, Arvirago closed its doors, selling the rights to Digital Lengeds to make versions for Apple devices.
Projected for Windows, PS3 and XBox 360, we won't know ever if it would have been a success or just another game.
