In the early years of the 8-bit boom in Spain, the educational field was explored by some companies that thought, not without reason, that the advantages of computing went well with teaching.
The most notable case was that of Anaya, who, in alliance with Sony, entered the world of MSX. But it was not the only one, since other smaller companies, such as the one that concerns us today, also tried.
Álea had two lines of educational games: Lexa and Logicolor. El Duende belongs to the first, which consists of four installments, and the last one we discussed many years ago, El Oasis. At that time we did not know the other games; We did not even know that they were released for computers other than the Amstrad CPC, but we did determine that the price did not match the quality.
The other two installments are this El Duende, subtitled 'Reconocimiento de las Letras Mayúsculas y Minúsculas', and El Torreón, which addresses phonetic and spelling discrimination.
