Graphic or text adventure? This is the first question that arises when you load this game.
On one hand you handle a pointer as we use to do playing first genret, and there is nothing to type, because all action takes place through predefined commands controlled by the function keys.
Furthermore, the graphics are static, no animations, making it closer to the traditional text adventures.
The game has average graphics, music in the presentation via beeper and a not very interesting course.
Is coded in Basic -the author says in the manual he didn't know yet C language-, it loads continuously from disk, and you can't use the mouse, which limits maneuverability ... But it is a good introduction to what we'll find in Pirateer 2.

Desde el 16/10/2010 está disponible una nueva versión en la ficha, parcheada para que el juego funcione en los ordenadores modernos bajo DOSBox; hay que ejecutarlo con el archivo "PIRATFIX".
