The first thing I should explain in this review is the name of the game. As some of you know, the project began to take shape in CEZ GS, back in 2006. In those days, there were some tensions in the scene, and within the group; it was said that we desire profit (as if that was bad, but in any case sell tapes at cost to get rich was not precisely intelligent). It was said between us that we should not enter the rag of these criticisms, and someone -I do not remember who- said that we should do as the Ultimate geniuses, go our own way without worrying about what others should say. Thus arose the slogan that accompanied CEZ GS until the adventure ended: UWOL, Ultimate Way of Life.
And, as you can imagine, from there came the idea that led to the game concepction by Anjuel. Its development could not be more representative: our little guy has to go collecting coins for the various screens that make up the game, in order to get rich, avoiding the enemies that will try to stop us in our mission.
CEZ GS came to an end, and as in many other cases, UWOL was not finished yet ... But it would be finally released by the Mojon Twins, producing a funny arcade with lots of screens to go, all of them full of dangers.
The graphics are nice and very well made, with a certain cartoon style. They are accompanied by a proper music and very smooth movement with an inertia that gives the game a frenetic character.
Although conceived also for MSX and PC versions, of which you can see in the development tab some examples, it was published exclusively for Spectrum, but subsequent versions were developed for Commodore 64 and Sega Megadrive. Even afterwards a second part was published, exclusively for Amstrad CPC.
Resuming, it's a fun game with a hand held style that will provide good moments of fun.
