Buenas

¡A disfrutar!

Re: Abu Simbel Profanation MSX2
Hello All. Sorry to write this in English but unfortunately my Spanish is terrible (worst than my English)
The guy who wrote the MSX2 version of Abu Simbel, with graphics ripped from the remake, who's selling the ROM file, etc,etc... Had the following reaction when he found his ROM file on eMule
LINK: http://www.msx.org/forumtopic8531.html
Part of the post: "Today I just found my game "Profanation MSX2" is on Emule. And it's not the demo version. For those that dont know about it, look here. I made this game - from scratch, it's not an adaptation as some think - in Pascal and started selling it on 2006. There's even a demo on the page for people who would like to try it out before buying."
He's also "making" some original games like Montezuma and Jungle Hunt (actually converting those from Colecovision), selling cartrdige versions for over 15 euros and the ROM is not publicy available.
When I saw that, I had to do something and then I re-converted his games with better sound and other improvements and release those 100% free. I also made a "parody" of his lack of respect post.
LINK: http://www.msx.org/forumtopic9075.html
Part of the Post: "...=> “God gives you ears, but sometimes asks too much in return…” <=
3) I was TOO pissed off, because I always want to try new releases, like I tried "The Cure" or "Malaika" for example.
I WOULD NEVER EVER PAY FOR A ROM FILE!!(That's my opinion of course), but I would be very pleased to buy, for example, a boxed collectors edition of "The Cure" which I really really liked.
Well, I'm not asking to be loved here. I tend to like a lot the behavior of most of you guys in Europe and U.S. who always tend to help instead of being jealous or thinking that the person is trying to prejudice you someway."
Plz, take you all your own conclusions...

Re: Abu Simbel Profanation MSX2
I've edited your post, Muffie, in order of deleting real name and picture from SLotman (laws in Spain are very strict about personal data [if you are really bored, and you want improve your spanish reading laws, you can read it at http://noticias.juridicas.com/base_dato ... -1999.html ])
Anyway, personally I still thinking that selling that conversion it's a real copyright laws transgression, and I must recognize that I've get a little smile on my face while reading that thread

Re: Abu Simbel Profanation MSX2
I think this slotman guy is... well... I will skip the words. But in any case, it is very funny that someone who does a remake of a game without any authorization, takes the graphics without any authorization and then decides to sell it complains because someone puts his ROM in a P2P network. Which rights does he have over the game to begin with?
I mean, I understand that it is not a good idea to put ROMs still for sale in a P2P network, but... it's as if a pirate complained because another pirate stole his stolen treasure

Re: Abu Simbel Profanation MSX2
The guy was (for months...) trying to convert a Sega Master System Game (A Korean one that only uses Sg-1000 video modes) also to MSX. Of course to make money out of it.
I converted it in two hours! and I'll release it to the public in the next few days!!!!!
take a look at this video:

Re: Abu Simbel Profanation MSX2
News about game development, specially retro games (games for old platforms, remakes for new ones, and new games for current platforms with "retro" look), will be always welcome on this forum, but, please, try to let out from here the disputes between scene members. Thanks.
Anyway, the game on video looks very nice! It look a bit like Knightmare, don't you think so? Keep on the good work! We'll waiting for the release!
