A BRIEF INTRODUCTION

What to say about this game that has not already been discussed? For those who missed it or were late, say about it that it was the game that revolutionized 8 bits, setting a new limit for all those who thought that the limit had already been reached. It was the year 84, and the parents of the creature, the Stamper brothers (Ultimate gurus), made the filmation known to the world, a 3D world unparalleled in the flat 8-bit universe ...

The technique would be equaled, and even surpassed by shows that came after, both Ultimate (Alien 8, NightShade) and others (special mention for Jon Ritman and his fantastic Batman and Head over Heels). But we will always love Knight Lore for what he was: the eldest of his brothers.

THE ARGUMENT

You are Sabreman, fresh out of the lush jungles of the SabreWulf, thirsty for adventure and bitten by a werewolf. Consequence: our restless friend goes to the castle of the famous local magician, Melkhior, in search of the antidote that will free him from the familiar curse. Sure enough, every time he gets dark, Sabreman takes on the appearance of a bipedal wolf (in a delightful animation worth seeing). But, if he doesn't get the antidote in 40 days with 40 nights from him, Sabreman will be a wolf… forever.

GETTING TO WORK>

What should Sabreman do? He has to give Melkhior a series of objects in the order that the magician requests them ... and to get those objects, he must overcome a huge amount of traps, obstacles and inhabitants of the castle who long ago lost hope of being saved.

In addition, he must be careful, since there are beings that behave differently depending on what they look like. Without going any further, it would be a serious mistake to visit Melkhior in a lycanthropic form ...

THE REMAKE

Years later, Devilish Games resurrects this great game, providing everything that in its time it was impossible to give it: color, definition, more detail, high quality sound ... The castle rooms now have many details on their walls, we have music while we play , the characters and settings are in full color, the speed of the game can be varied ... Does this mean that it improves on the original? I honestly don't think so ... but it does match it, and I think this is Knight Lore Remake's best virtue. Although it is true that sometimes the minimalist decoration of the original is missed, and there are certain problems with the blocks that disappear when stepped on, we must value the effort and work of the Devilish lords, who have put all their love in this very worthy remake that updates a classic that will live forever.
