On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

To a greater or lesser degree we could affirm that Strongman, the title of the protagonist of this review, is to Space Harrier what "Mac and Me" to "E.T." or what "Supersonic Man" to "Superman", namely, a shabby "adaptation" of a successful title, with a main character that borders on the ridiculous.

Not surprisingly, the first thing that attracts attention when you start to play Strongman is the "strange" and unfortunate design of both the protagonist and the projectiles.

In terms of style of play and setting, Strongman mixes the essence of the aforementioned Space Harrier, with a more typical graphic section (although inferior) of the PC version of Buck Rogers in Planet Zoom.

In fact, do not expect to find here neither surprising enemies, nor colorful and detailed scenarios like those of the Sega classic. What's more, the scenarios are reduced to their minimum expression and the enemies are, in the best of cases, shortcomings. In addition to final bosses, we do not even speak, due to their total absence.

Moreover, the game has just 5 levels, which also are not very long. By the way, only a beep will be responsible for notifying us of the change of level (do not expect the appearance of any "announcing poster" or a change of scenery).

Of course, as we progress through the game we will find a greater variety in the "enemy collective". Collective that, in turn, will be winning in "bad baba" progressively.

For the rest, highlight (not precisely for good) the parco of the program in terms of details. In fact, this is a game that lacks such basic things as a presentation screen, a menu in conditions or a simple "Game Over" screen.

ASSESSMENT

- GRAPHICS / ANIMATION: The graphic section is very soulless. The funds are schematic and do not vary an apex throughout the game. The design of our protagonist is orthopedic.

The best is the finishing of some enemies (without being the quintessence of anything) and, above all, the fluidity with which everything is presented on the screen.

- SOUND: Very similar to other author's games. That is to say, little beeps and noises in a not very high number. As for melodies, only one (bad with desire and short) that appears only when the game is over.

- GAMBLING / ADDICTION: Strongman is manageable and moderately entertaining, despite "not calling" aesthetically. Yes, it ends in a sigh ...

CONCLUSION

Strongman is a poor clone of Space Harrier. Graphically loose, sonorously mallet, tremendously short and lacking any kind of striking detail. Of course, at least, while it lasts (which as we have mentioned is not much), it is entertaining.
