On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

Not having the ubiquitous microprocessor par excellence of the 8-bit generation, such as the Zilog Z80 (or some of its clones), marked the future of the Commodore 64 in Spain, because apart from this differentiation that was detrimental to almost the rest of Computers of that time, apparently, it was not easy to program in their MOS Technology 6510. Therefore, if it is already admirable that someone today starts creating games for these wonderful machines of the 80s, it is even more so for this computer in particular and, already curling the loop, completely programmed in assembly language. Amazing!
In "Rescuing Orc" we have the mission of finding our orc friend, saving the difficulties posed by the twelve types of enemies in five different scenarios. We go up, down, and jump, always accompanied by our minisword with which to give a good account of anyone who approaches us with evil intentions. The great Juan J. Martínez (Reidrac) has created a splendid platform game that you should not miss. Fun, fluid, friendly and extensively mapped. What more could you want? Well, action, good music (although a bit crushing, really) and very colorful, despite that pale hue of its color palette so characteristic of this computer, which is produced because it is designed mainly for its market of American origin and process the colors according to its NTSC television system, which is somewhat different from our European PAL, but which gave all its games a special and distinctive charm that does not visually detract from the final result, quite the opposite.
We recommend buying the physical edition, which is simply spectacular in any of its formats and if not, you can download it for free and use an emulator like CCS64 or VICE. Truly, you will be transported to that golden decade.
A great title to keep in mind for the immortal Commodore 64.
