On August 3, 1999, Spectrum Zone, the predecessor of Computer Emuzone [CEZ], was launched. So, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and it is worth saying so, even though we have not been able to prepare anything special. We will continue here as long as we can. Thanks for everything!

Screwie is a peculiar character, half biological, half mechanical, who is very reminiscent of the protagonist of an excellent Gremlin Graphics game, 'Thing Bounces Back'.
What exactly is there to do in the game? We do not have the instructions, so it is difficult to give an exact answer. It seems that the goal, aside from the obvious avoidance of enemies swarming around the stage, is to get a ball into a hole, at which point you're supposed to move on to the next screen. I've tried it and I haven't been able to pass the level on any of the occasions, because the program has a very high difficulty, but I can't think of another task to do.
If someone knows the real objective, or has the instructions, you already know where to find us (Note: the manual was added to the file later.)
Even though we do not know the exact objective of the program, we can make an assessment of its technical aspects without fear of being wrong.
It has extraordinary graphics, as far as the backgrounds are concerned, while the sprites perfectly fulfill their mission; the only problem is the confusion that is produced by the excess of color of the first ones, which, although they make it more beautiful, diminish the playability.
The sound is limited to a few beeps, and while the Spectrum 48k is very limited in this regard, it could have gone a little deeper.
The difficulty, on the other hand, is very high, another aspect that negatively influences the gameplay.
Enrique and Oscar Vives, visible heads of the Barcelona company Positive (created later), began to show us what they would be capable of doing later, with several titles that conquered the little hearts of many of us.
Note 06/06/2019: Thanks to El Trastero del Spectrum, we can make available to you the cover and manual of the game, which was published by Mind Games. It is curious to see that on the spine they call it "Screwie", but on the cover "Bubbles". You have more information in the development tab, with statements by the Vives brothers in two interviews of Un Pasado Mejor.
