'Don Quixote' is one of the first text adventures I ever played, and perhaps that's why I have such fond memories of it. It was also one of the most successful, undoubtedly boosted by the fact that it featured such a well-known character. In any case, the adventure is magnificent in its own right, so the credit, aside from the illustrious Miguel de Cervantes, must also go to the programmer.

Jorge Blécua (EGROJ in the industry) had previously created Arquímedes XXI, also for Dinamic, and later released Abracadabra under his own label, Odisea, with distribution handled by Proein. All three were made with GAC (Graphic Adventure Creator), a less evolved parser than PAWS and without a Spanish translation, but easier to use.

Jorge contacted us a couple of years ago, but during a hard drive format (oh dear...) we lost the messages, and with them his email address. Jorge, if you read this, we'd be grateful if you could get in touch with us again, to see if we can do an interview for our visitors.
