It was about time we reviewed another legend of Spanish software, after some time had passed since we covered the other two games in the trilogy, the brilliant Saimazoom and Abu Simbel Profanation. And it's true that the chronological order followed wasn't the most orthodox, because while the entry for the third game came first, followed by the first, the second is being analyzed last (Has anyone figured this out?! ;-DD).

Babaliba (1,800 pesetas at the time) followed in the footsteps of its predecessor's success, one of the Madrid-based company's first hits. Also programmed by Víctor Ruiz, and with minimal innovations in graphics and sound, it capitalized on the existing formula in a clear continuation of the previous games, which doesn't diminish its value at all, especially considering they were developed in a short period of time. The revolution would come with the third installment of the trilogy, in which Johnny Jones, the victim of a curse, appears transformed into a toad whose goal is to regain his human form.
